We support our employees globally by coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations of General Accounting, Human Resources, Administration, Marketing and Information Technology. We pride ourselves on ensuring we deliver the best customer service possible to our people while building trust and relationships with all of our constituents.
Due to growth, our Regina office has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Accountant to join our team. You will have responsibilities for the financial administration of multiple projects for our various business lines and groups of project managers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with operations team over the complete life cycle of the project including bid preparation phase

  • Assist Project Manager with project setup and close out

  • Monitor project performance and key indicators: support PM as required in understanding project performance

  • Ensure that the financial impact of change orders are reflected correctly in APIC

  • Monitor & analyze revenue to ensure proper revenue recognition methods used; be able to explain key project metrics and lead indicators.

  • Assist in the preparation of the project risk analysis

  • Prepare and monitor project cash flow on projects as required

  • Perform project analysis and prepare reports upon request for management review

  • Understand the commercial and billing requirements of the projects; ensure project set up accurately reflects proper billing requirements

  • Support project pursuit teams in bid preparation as required

  • Support project teams in financial analysis for AECOM approvals

  • University or college graduate with a degree or diploma in business/accounting from a recognized post secondary institution

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in project accounting, cost accounting or cost control

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Experience with Oracle systems

  • Pursuing a professional accounting designation

  • Bachelors degree in a related field

  • Experience in project accounting with a project based firm
