Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.
The Senior Socio-Economic Specialist will be responsible for leading socio-economic impact studies as part of both Environmental Assessments and strategic socio-economic studies. The position will require experience leading and conducting social impact studies in the Canadian context. The senior socio-economist will be responsible for driving sales and developing new business opportunities in sectors including but not limited to: energy, resource development, transportation and waste management.   The successful candidate will oversee and develop a wide range of social research studies including surveys, interviews, public attitude research and focus groups. The position will also involve mentoring of intermediate and junior staff and the utilization of project management techniques to deliver excellent products to our clients. 
We are looking for a leader with over 10 years of experience working in Aboriginal communities. Existing networks and connections with industry and public sector clients is essential. Experience using social impact and sustainability frameworks such as community well-being or sustainable livelihoods is required. Advanced understanding of quantitative or qualitative research techniques is required.
Knowledge of financial analyses and economic modeling is an asset.
